Chelsea will face Manchester City at Wembley on May 16 in the FA Cup final after the Blues booked their place after they beat Leeds United 1-0 in Saturday’s semi-final at Wembley.
Enzo Fernández scored the only goal in the 23rd minute. He headed home from Pedro Neto’s cross. This victory came in Chelsea’s first match since they sacked manager Liam Rosenior on Wednesday. Interim coach Calum McFarlane took charge and led the team to success.
Leeds created the first big chance, but Robert Sánchez denied Brenden Aaronson in a one-on-one. João Pedro later hit the post. However, Chelsea broke the deadlock with Fernández’s header.
After halftime, Leeds improved following tactical changes from Daniel Farke. Anton Stach forced a save from Sánchez soon after he came on. Dominic Calvert-Lewin also went close. Still, Leeds could not find an equaliser. Chelsea held on firmly to reach the final.

This marks their return to a Wembley final. The last time they played in an FA Cup final at Wembley was in 2018. On that day, they defeated Manchester United 1-0 with a penalty from Eden Hazard.
Meanwhile, Chelsea and Manchester City have already met twice in the 2025/26 Premier League season. First, the teams drew 1-1 in January. Then, in April, Manchester City won 3-0 at Stamford Bridge.
The two sides now prepare for another exciting clash at Wembley. they hope to lift the FA Cup, while Manchester City aim to add more silverware. Fans expect a thrilling final on May 16.
