FIFA has unveiled a historic prize pool for the inaugural FIFA Women’s Champions Cup, marking the largest single financial payout in women’s club football to date.
In a statement released on Friday via its official X account, FIFA confirmed that the tournament champions will earn $2.3 million, while the runners-up at the final scheduled for Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the Emirates Stadium in London will receive $1 million.
Teams eliminated at the semi-final stage will each take home $200,000, while Auckland United FC of New Zealand and Wuhan Chegu Jiangda WFC of China, who exited in the opening round, will earn $100,000 apiece. Overall, nearly $4 million will be shared among the six participating clubs.

FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström described the prize structure as a strong endorsement of women’s club football, noting that the significant financial investment underlines FIFA’s long-term commitment to the growth of the women’s game worldwide.
“Distributing close to four million dollars among the six competing clubs based on performance sends a powerful message about FIFA’s confidence in women’s club football,” Grafström said, adding that the initiative reflects the organization’s broader vision for global development of the women’s game.
Grafström further explained that the Women’s Champions Cup is part of a wider reform agenda, which includes enhancements to the Women’s International Match Calendar and the launch of new elite competitions such as the FIFA Women’s Club World Cup, scheduled to debut in 2028.
Meanwhile, the tournament’s semi-finals will take place on Wednesday, January 28, at Brentford Stadium. Gotham FC of the United States will face Brazil’s Corinthians, while Arsenal Women are set to clash with Morocco’s ASFAR.
