The All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, for his purposeful leadership and significant strides in delivering critical infrastructure to improve the lives of Deltans.
In a press statement issued on Tuesday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Barr Felix Morka, CON, the APC expressed delight at the governor’s recent groundbreaking ceremony for the Uromi Junction Flyover at Agbor in Ika South Local Government Area. The event took place on Monday, 19 January 2026.

The N59.7 billion project, awarded to construction firm Julius Berger, is expected to be completed within 14 months. It addresses a long-standing demand from the people of Agbor and the Ika Nation to tackle a notorious intersection notorious for frequent, fatal motor accidents over many years.
The statement highlighted that while the immediate beneficiaries are residents of Agbor, the flyover will benefit all Nigerians.
Positioned at a vital crossroads linking major routes to the East, West, North, and South, it will ease travel, reduce congestion, boost economic activity, enhance security, and improve overall wellbeing for travellers and residents alike.
This ceremony followed closely on the heels of another groundbreaking for the N39.3 billion Otovwodo Junction Flyover in Ughelli, Ughelli North Local Government Area.

Together with ongoing projects at PTI Junction, DSC Roundabout, and Enerhen Junction, these form five flyovers currently under construction as part of the governor’s drive to modernise urban infrastructure and elevate living standards across Delta State.
Beyond infrastructure, the APC praised the MORE Agenda Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security for delivering people-centric benefits.
These include clearing pension backlogs, paying monthly stipends to 10,000 widows, human capital development, collaboration with the Bank of Industry to recapitalise micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), increased funding for tertiary institutions, and acquisition of advanced medical equipment for hospitals.
The statement noted Governor Oborevwori’s public commitment to aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, attributing improved state finances to the president’s economic reforms, which have expanded federal revenue allocations to unprecedented levels.
It recalled the governor’s landmark defection in April 2025, when he led former PDP structures in Delta into the APC, inspiring other opposition figures and strengthening support for the president’s transformative policies.
The event in Agbor drew dignitaries including Deputy Governor Sir Monday Onyeme, former Governor and South-South Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Initiative Sen (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa, the Dein of Agbor HRM Benjamin Ikechuckwu Keagborekuzi I, Rep Victor Nwokolo, Felix Morka himself, Secretary to the State Government Dr Kingsley Emu, and other officials and leaders.
The APC applauded the governor’s effective use of state resources in line with national priorities and urged him to sustain efforts to uplift living conditions for all Deltans.
