Super Falcons have been drawn into Group C of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), which will be hosted by Morocco.
The nine-time champions will face Zambia, Egypt, and Malawi in what promises to be one of the most competitive groups of the tournament.
The official groupings reveal a balanced and exciting competition across all four groups. Group A features host nation Morocco alongside Algeria, Senegal, and Kenya.
Group B includes South Africa, who will battle Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, and Tanzania. Group D includes Ghana, Cameroon, Mali, and Cape Verde set to clash for qualification to the knockout stages.

Group C, however, stands out due to the quality and pedigree of the teams involved. Nigeria, Africa’s most successful women’s national team, will renew their rivalry with Zambia, a side that has grown significantly in stature in recent years. Egypt and Malawi complete the group, both aiming to cause upsets and secure historic progress in the tournament.

The 2026 WAFCON will be staged in Morocco, showcasing the country’s growing reputation as a premier football host. Venues include the Moulay Al Hassan Stadium, Rabat Al Madina Stadium, Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca, and the Complexe Sportif de Fès in Fès.
The Super Falcons head into the tournament with confidence and pride, having defeated host nation Morocco in the 2025 final to clinch their historic 10th continental title.
