The State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) has taken over the probe into the killing of seven-year-old Alicia Olajumoke, who was stabbed to death in her home at Agip Estate, Rumueme, Port Harcourt, in a disturbing incident that has alarmed residents.
According to the Rivers State Police Command, the tragedy unfolded on 25 November at No. 21 Okabia Street, where the child lived with her mother, Glory Joseph.

The statement notes that upon arrival at the house, the suspect allegedly stabbed the child to death before inflicting a serious wound on her own throat.
