Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the state’s 484 wards and 44 local government areas in Kano state have unanimously endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s sole presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.
The declaration was made at a well-attended meeting in Kano, where the immediate-past National Chairman of the APC and current Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, rallied party faithful to close ranks behind the President.
Addressing the gathering, Ganduje emphasised the importance of unity and solidarity within the party as the nation approaches the 2027 polls.
“For the past three days, we have engaged chairmen and leaders from all 44 local government areas to reinforce commitment to President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda,” he said.
He expressed confidence that the APC in Kano would deliver a clean sweep of all elective positions in the state “from top to bottom” while mobilising the entire northern region and the country at large to ensure President Tinubu’s resounding victory in 2027.
Ganduje directed party executives at every level to publicly proclaim President Tinubu as the APC’s undisputed candidate. He also stressed the need for functional and accessible party offices to facilitate the defection of members from opposition parties.
On membership drive, the stakeholders announced the acquisition of computers to commence electronic registration across the state, with the aim of surpassing Kano’s previous record of producing the highest number of registered APC members nationwide.
