All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders and stakeholders in Ekiti State have endorsed President Bola Tinubu and Governor Biodun Oyebanji for re-election.
The unanimous decision was made during a gathering at the former country home of the late General Adeyinka Adebayo in Iyin-Ekiti yesterday.
The meeting, which demonstrated a strong show of party unity, was attended by a host of prominent figures, including two former state governors, Niyi Adebayo and Kayode Fayemi, along with the incumbent governor Oyebanji and his deputy, Monisade Afuye.

Motions for the endorsements were presented and ratified with a resounding voice vote.
Senate Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, moved the motion for Tinubu’s re-election, which was seconded by Olusola Fatoba.
Similarly, Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Adeoye Aribasoye, moved the motion for Oyebanji’s endorsement, with Chief Whip Bose Olowookere providing the second.
Both former governors, Adebayo and Fayemi, emphasised the need for continuity and urged party members to avoid complacency as the state approaches the forthcoming governorship election.
Fayemi, in particular, stressed the importance of ensuring Oyebanji’s victory in both the party primary and the main election, stating that he remains committed to the APC’s success and will do all he can to support the party and the governor.
He expressed confidence in Oyebanji’s performance, noting that he is well-positioned to become the first Ekiti governor to secure a second consecutive term.
In his address, Oyebanji thanked the stakeholders for their support and reiterated his commitment to maintaining party cohesion and unity through inclusive governance and developmental projects.
