Senator Abdulaziz Yar’adua, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Army and the Northern Senators Forum, has denied recent reports of his defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement on his X page on Monday, the senator reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the party and urged media outlets to disregard what he called “speculative headlines.”
Yar’adua clarified that not all individuals bearing the Yar’adua surname are politically associated with him.
He stated that some media outlets are intentionally creating “mischief” by linking him to other political figures.

The senator, who’s representing Katsina Central expressed his support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
He highlighted Tinubu’s efforts over the past two years, citing increased allocations to states and local governments, as well as significant funding for critical infrastructure and security agencies.

Yar’adua said that as a political leader, he believes all officials must join hands with the president to ensure the success of the administration and to guarantee that the impact of the APC-led government’s reforms is felt by all Nigerians.
Yar’adua reiterated his commitment to the APC and his readiness to work with leaders across all levels to foster unity, progress, and prosperity for the nation.
