According to him, the administration has recorded notable gains in Nigeria’s foreign reserves. He also commended the removal of the fuel subsidy and the unification of the foreign exchange (FX) market, describing them as bold and necessary steps.
Furthermore, he praised President Tinubu’s decision to scrap the fuel subsidy on his inauguration day. He described the move as a decisive action aimed at tackling corruption and stabilising the economy.
“I think Mr President deserves a round of applause,” he said. “Corruption doesn’t just roll away; you tackle it systematically. And on the first day of his inauguration, he did that by stopping the fuel subsidy regime.”
In addition, Seyi Law highlighted developments in the education sector. He cited the introduction of the student loan scheme, noting that nearly one million students are already benefiting from the initiative.
He also referenced the establishment of tuition-free technical colleges across the country. According to him, students in federal technical colleges now receive stipends, which he said has improved access to education.
“Mr President has built several technical colleges across the nation, tuition-free for all the students,” he stated.
Moreover, the comedian pointed to ongoing infrastructure projects as part of the administration’s achievements. He mentioned several road developments, including major highway projects designed to connect key economic regions.
He listed projects such as the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway, the Sokoto-Badagry highway, and the rehabilitation of the Sagamu–Ijebu Ode–Ore road. He also referred to projects linking Ebonyi, Calabar, Abuja, Benin, Asaba, Iwo, Ilesa, and Akure.
“Today we are talking about an ambitious super highway project linking major parts of the country,” he said.
Seyi Law also commended the government’s handling of labour issues in the education sector. He noted that the agreement between the federal government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) resulted in a relatively short strike period.
According to him, the administration demonstrated commitment to maintaining stability in the academic calendar.
He further praised the government’s foreign exchange reforms, stating that the unification of the official and parallel markets has helped address long-standing economic challenges.
“He floated the foreign exchange, and today the black market and the real market have been unified,” he said.
Overall, Seyi Law expressed strong confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership. He stated that the administration has helped steer Nigeria away from economic instability and set the country on a path toward growth.
He urged Nigerians to recognise and applaud what he described as deliberate and strategic efforts to rebuild the nation’s economy and institutions.
