Rapper and singer Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has raised concerns over the growing menace of cultism in the Nigerian music industry.
Lamenting the trend, Marley claimed that only a few artists, including himself, have refused to join secret cults, alleging that many musicians seek such groups for power and protection.

Mocking the situation in a post on his X handle, the rapper noted that even those who allegedly introduce others to cultism still rely on police escorts for security.
“We no reach 5 weh never join cult for this industry. Person weh put u for cult self dey carry police escort up and down,” he wrote.
Naira Marley has, however, repeatedly denied being a cultist. He previously disclosed that cult members once threatened him for refusing to join them, maintaining that he has never been involved in cult-related activities.
