Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, on Wednesday visited Kurmin Wali village in Kajuru Local Government Area, where bandits recently attacked three churches and abducted several residents, pledging decisive action to secure the release of the captives.
The governor, who commiserated with victims and their families, described the January 18 attack as “painful and unacceptable,” assuring the community that his administration would intensify efforts to restore lasting peace in the area.

“This incident is deeply troubling and unacceptable. We will not rest until every abducted person is safely returned,” Sani said.
He stated that the state government would work closely with the military and other security agencies to prevent further attacks and dismantle criminal networks operating in the area.
“We are strengthening collaboration with security stakeholders to ensure the safe return of all captives and to stop a recurrence of such attacks,” the governor added.
Sani also appealed to the Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (rtd), who hails from Kaduna State, to support the establishment of a military base in Kurmin Wali to enhance security and deter criminal elements.
“The presence of a military base here will significantly improve security and reassure residents,” he said.
In addition to security measures, the governor announced plans to construct an access road to Kurmin Wali, establish a Primary Health Care Centre, and provide other social amenities aimed at improving living conditions and strengthening government presence in the community.
Addressing local and international journalists who accompanied him on the visit, Sani reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property across Kaduna State.
Residents of Kurmin Wali expressed appreciation for the governor’s visit and pledged to cooperate with the government and security agencies to secure the release of the abducted persons and sustain peace in the area
