Gunmen, in early Monday’s attack in Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School (GGCSS), Maga, Danko Wasagu area of Kebbi State, killed the vice-principal, Hassan Yakubu Makuku and whisked away an unspecified number of students.
According to HumAngle, the attackers invaded the school around 4 am shortly before dawn prayers.

A resident of Maga, Aliyu Yakubu said the bandits invaded the school on Monday without any resistance.
“The attack has created panic among residents or Maga. We are now in fear and mourning”, he said.
He said the school principal, Makuku was shot while trying to protect the students during the attack.
He was shot as he tried to protect his students from being taken by the bandits. It is a great loss for the community and the school”, Daily Trust reported.

However, authorities have yet to release any official statement over the abduction of the girls on Monday.
