A post which has been circulating online claims that President Donald Trump of the United State of America hailed A.M Yerima, a young Naval officer, who stood against the Federal Capital Territory minister, Nyesom Wike’s will to gain access to an alleged disputed land in Abuja.
The verified X user,@NuhuSada0 (Hon. Nuhu Sada) posted the claim today together with an image of Trump and a Naval officer.

His caption reads,” 🚨 BREAKING: U.S President Donald Trump has hailed Lt. A. M. Yerima for his courage and integrity, describing him as a more patriotic Nigerian than Wike”.
“In a statement released yesterday at the White House, President Trump named Lt. A. M. Yerima to lead the frontline operations against IPOB in the East, as well as Boko Haram and ISWAP. In Nigeria”.
As of press time, the claim has generated 224,600 views, 889 comments, 312 reposts, 2,400 reactions and 111 bookmarks.

Findings by New Daily Prime shows that the claim is Misleading!
When this researcher conducted keyword searches, findings showed that White House did not at any time issue a statement about Yerima’s altercation with Wike.
Further, this newspaper scrutinised the social media pages of the White House, including Facebook, and X (Formerly Twitter). However, no such information was available in the public domain.
