Describing the occasion as a significant milestone in his administration’s journey towards building a greater state, Aiyedatiwa urged the new appointees to hit the ground running, stressing that the expectations of the people remain high.
“The people of Ondo State expect nothing but the best from us, having entrusted us with an overwhelming mandate. We must strive to deliver on all our electioneering promises,” he stated.
The governor explained that the delay in appointments was deliberate, reflecting his administration’s belief in steady, consistent governance over hasty decisions.
“Within the first 100 days of our administration, we have been able to prove that slow and steady wins the race,” he added.
He described the newly appointed commissioners as individuals with “unassailable qualifications, impeccable track records and a deep commitment to public service.”
He urged them to uphold integrity, patriotism, due process, and foster cordial working relationships within their ministries and agencies.
Aiyedatiwa also cautioned family members and associates of the appointees against exerting undue pressure for personal or sectional interests.
He encouraged the new commissioners to align their efforts with his administration’s 7-point agenda, OUR EASE, which focuses on Economic Development, Food Security, Education, Healthcare, Infrastructure, Security, Youth Empowerment, and Social Welfare.
Highlighting his administration’s achievements, the governor said various infrastructure projects and socio-economic programmes had been initiated to support the elderly, less privileged, and vulnerable groups.
He added that both continuity and innovation had guided his government’s developmental strategy.
