The threat, reported by NITDA’s Computer Emergency Readiness and Response Team (CERRT), is spreading through fake browser error pop-ups. Victims are tricked into copying and running malicious commands on their devices, which then silently installs the malware.
Once active, DeepLoad steals sensitive data, including passwords, banking details, and documents, from web browsers.
It uses artificial intelligence to evade antivirus software and a hidden Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) tool to reinstall itself even after removal.

NITDA warns that infections could result in stolen bank and mobile money access, identity theft, financial fraud, and disruption of business and government systems.
Government bodies, banks, critical infrastructure, businesses, and everyday users of online banking and email are at risk.
The agency’s main advice: never paste commands from websites into your computer. Legitimate software providers will never ask you to do this.
This alert is part of NITDA’s ongoing role through CERRT to monitor cyber threats and support national cybersecurity response.
