French authorities have barred 10 British activists described as far-right, from entering the country after they were involved in activities aimed at preventing migrants from crossing the English Channel in small boats.
According to the ministry of interior, it said the activists, who are members of a group known as Raise the Colours, were accused by French authorities of searching for and destroying small boats along the northern coast of France and taking part in “propaganda activity”.
In a statement by Raise the Colours, they stated that it “does not support violence or any unlawful activity” and had always maintained that its activities must remain peaceful and within the law.
The ministry said it became aware of the group’s activities in December 2025, adding that the actions caused “serious disturbances to public order”.
The ministry said their efforts were “aimed at the British public, called upon to strengthen the ranks of the movement to put an end to the migratory phenomenon”.

The 10 British nationals are prohibited from entering and residing in France.
French Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez posted on X saying that France’s “rule of law is non-negotiable; actions that are violent in nature or incite hatred have no place on our territory”.
Raise the Colours in response said no formal notification had been received from France’s measure but understood the ban was against “specific individuals, rather than the organisation as a whole”.
The group has described itself as a grassroots movement promoting unity and patriotism, saying it was involved in a UK flag-raising campaign and had recorded activities in northern France linked to what it described as illegal Channel crossings.
According to the website, the group said it does not support vigilante actions, unauthorised activity or efforts by individuals to enforce the law independently.
