The governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, has denied holding a secret meeting with Atiku Abubakar, 2023 presidential candidate under People Democratic Party and a member of Action Democratic Congress, where he promised to pledged financial backing to defeat president Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 February election.
According to a statement released by the governor’s spokesman, Ibrahim Addra, the government said the report is a “complete fabrication, false in its entirety and did not happen.

Adda further stated that his principal, Sule didn’t hold any meeting with Atiku or his associates during the spiritual exercise.
“The governor has consistently used every available platform to extol the leadership qualities of President Tinubu and to affirm support for the administration”.
“The government accused certain political actors of attempting to sabotage the relationship between President Tinubu and the governor, expressing confidence that the plan would fail”, the statement reads.
The statement noted that Atiku’s spokesperson, Paul Ibe, said he was unaware of any such meeting.
Adda also said that APC supporters in Nasarawa are fully behind Bola Ahmed Tinub, stating that no false fabrication of report could affect their high loyalty to Tinubu
