The police urged residents to stay indoors and cooperate with security operatives, warning that miscreants and other elements that threaten law and order would not be allowed to operate unchallenged.
The statement emphasised that enforcement would be carried out with respect for citizens’ rights while taking all necessary legal measures to prevent further unrest.
“The Adamawa State Police Command, in collaboration with other security agencies, is committed to monitoring compliance and enforcing the curfew while avoiding actions that may result in loss of life,” the press release signed by Suleiman Nguroje, the force spokesperson, stated.
