President Bola Tinubu announced on Tuesday that his administration has restored peace to numerous communities in the northern region, enabling thousands of displaced residents to return to their homes.
During his Independence Day nationwide address, President Tinubu acknowledged that while progress has been made, the work remains ongoing.
He noted that security agencies are fully committed to bringing the situation to a swift and conclusive end.
He said: “As soon as we can restore peace to many communities in the troubled parts of the North, our farmers can return to their farms. We expect to see a leap in food production and a downward spiral in food costs. I promise you, we shall not falter on this.
