Inter Milan secured their 21st Serie A title after they defeated Parma 2–0 at San Siro, with three matches still to play.
Marcus Thuram broke the deadlock in first-half stoppage time. Piotr Zielinski released him through on goal, and the Frenchman calmly flashed the ball past Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki.
Then, substitute Lautaro Martínez tore down the right flank ten minutes from time and squared a perfect pass for Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who applied a clinical finish to seal the win.
Inter entered the match knowing a point would suffice after second-placed Napoli drew 0–0 at Como on Saturday. Their victory stretched the gap at the top to an unassailable 12 points.
This triumph marks Inter’s third Scudetto in six years. Notably, the club sealed the title in front of their own fans at San Siro for the first time since 1989.
Cristian Chivu also celebrated a dream first season in charge. The former Inter defender, who took over last summer after leaving Parma, delivered his first major honour as a manager against his previous club.
