The President will depart Abuja on Saturday, 2 May, for a high-level diplomatic and economic tour that will take him to France, Kenya, and Rwanda.
According to a statement issued by the State House on Friday, the president’s itinerary begins in France before proceeding to Nairobi, Kenya, where he will attend the Africa-France Summit co-chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron and Kenyan President William Ruto.

The summit, scheduled for 11th to 12th May under the theme “Africa Forward: Africa-France Partnerships for Innovation and Growth,” will focus on energy transition, green industrialisation, digital transformation, restructuring of the global financial architecture, and climate action.
It will bring together African leaders and their French counterparts to discuss economic transformation, climate resilience, infrastructure development, youth empowerment, technological advancement, and peace-building.
President Tinubu’s participation is expected to underscore Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships with both African nations and France.
He is also anticipated to highlight the ongoing economic reforms of his administration aimed at positioning Nigeria as an attractive destination for investment.
Following the conclusion of the Africa-France Summit in Nairobi, President Tinubu will travel to Kigali, Rwanda, to attend the annual Africa CEO Forum, scheduled for 14th to 15th May.
This year’s forum, themed “Scale or Fail,” is described as the largest gathering of African private sector leaders, investors, and policymakers.
Organized in partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the event will focus on accelerating economic transformation through regional integration, shared scale, and increased cross-border investment.

Over 2,000 top executives and national leaders are expected to attend the forum to explore strategies for building resilient and competitive industries across the continent.
During both summits, President Tinubu will deliver key statements on Nigeria’s reform agenda and engage in high-level bilateral meetings with global and African business leaders. He will be accompanied by a delegation comprising some ministers and senior presidential aides.
The president is expected to return to Nigeria at the conclusion of the Rwanda leg of the trip.
