About 30 residents, including children were slaughtered on Saturday by Boko Haram group in Pissa and Tungan Makeri communities under Konkoso area of Borgu area of Niger State.
One of the survivors, Ibrahim Konkoso, 30, who escaped the attack told New Daily Prime that the attackers disrupted the communities atmosphere by setting fire on the Police building before proceeding to defenseless victims.

“They invaded the community around 6am and started by burning the police station”, he told this reporter. “After an hour, they came because the residents thought they left, then everyone came back out and they now surrounded them”.
The survivor who lost two of his relatives in the attack stated that the attack lasted for four hours unchallenged, killing residents and burning houses.
“They slaughtered people including small children and an unspecified number of people were abducted. More than 30 people were also killed in the attack”, he said.
Police spokesman in the state, Wasiu Abiodun, was not available for comment. Messages sent to him remained unanswered as of press time.
