Despite the resignation of Governor Ademola Adeleke from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, late Monday night, the party is still going ahead with its governorship primary election in Osun State on Tuesday, as delegates have started arriving the venue in Osogbo.
Adolak Hall, Osogbo, the venue of the election is already brimming with delegates from across the state and officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, also at the venue.

Recall that the State PDP Chairman, Mr Sunday Bisi had on Monday announced that the primary election would not longer hold due to the crisis that rocked the national leadership of the party.

His claim was however countered by National Organizing Secretary of the party, Theophilus Shan insisting that the primary would hold as scheduled.
As at 11:04 on Tuesday, the Hall was filled to brim with delegates with the party electoral committee, led by Humphery Abba, also at the venue.
Other members of the committee include, Bar. Marc Jacob, Chief Sanya Atofarati, Mrs Scholastical Kenebi, Chief Anene Azubuike, Mrs Splendor Josephine and Dr Sunday Solarin serves as the Secretary.

As at press time it was not clear which faction of the PDP is holding the exercise.
