Police investigations revealed that the assault was allegedly motivated by the victim’s rejection of Baragon’s marriage proposal after discovering he was already married with four children.
Although the suspect denied this claim, he reportedly confessed during interrogation to using bottles to stab the victim.

Commissioner of Police Olugbenga Adepoju, commended the operatives for their swift action and applauded the public for sharing useful information that aided the arrest.
“The Command reiterates its unwavering commitment to justice and warns perpetrators of crime that there is no hiding place for the wicked. If anyone commits a crime and runs away, the Police will catch up on you. The suspect will face prosecution upon the conclusion of a discreet investigation,” CP Adepoju said.
The Command further assured residents that it remains steadfast in its mission to ensure safety, protect human rights, and bring offenders to justice.
