Hon. Saraki Aliyu Daneji, a Kano lawmaker representing Kano municipal on Wednesday died in his home in Kano State.
This was announced in a Facebook post by Sanusi Bature, the spokesman to Abba Kabir Yusuf, Kano State governor, that the lawmaker died hours after his counterpart.

His post reads, “Innalillahi Wa Inna Ilaihirrajiun. Hon. Sarki Aliyu Daneji, member representing Kano Municipal at Kano State House of Assembly died today an hour after the death of his counterpart. Sabature”.
Daneji won the state House of Assembly seat through New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in the 2023 general election.
