Chelsea attacker Cole Palmer is set to miss the next two Premier League matches as well as the upcoming Champions League meeting with Barcelona next week.
Head coach Enzo Maresca confirmed that Palmer fractured a toe, ruling him out once again. The 23-year-old had only just resumed training after spending two months on the sidelines with a groin issue.
The latest setback reportedly occurred at home, where he is said to have stubbed his toe against a door late at night.
As a result, Palmer will sit out Saturday’s match against Burnley, the home clash with Barcelona on Tuesday, and next weekend’s encounter with league leaders Arsenal.
“He definitely won’t be available for tomorrow, for Barcelona, or for Arsenal,” Maresca stated.
His 2025/26 campaign had previously shown signs of promise. The young playmaker had been heavily involved in Chelsea’s attacking play, delivering key moments across matches.
His most recent outing, however on 20 September 2025 ended in disappointment as Chelsea fell 2–1 to Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Across 12 appearances in all competitions, Palmer has contributed 5 goals and 2 assists.
