Popular Nollywood actress Sunshine Rosman has revealed that she neither drinks alcohol nor smokes, saying she already possesses what she describes as a “natural highness.”
The fast-rising movie star made the revelation during a recent episode of the Open Up podcast, where she discussed her lifestyle choices, career journey, and how she maintains her energy without relying on alcohol or other substances.
Rosman explained that she does not need to indulge in drinking or smoking to boost her confidence or performance, either in her acting career or social life.

According to her, she feels fulfilled and joyful without depending on any external influence. “People often ask me what I drink after seeing my videos,” she said. “I don’t drink. I don’t smoke either. But guess what? If we are at a party, I would be more turnt than anybody in that room.”
The actress, known for her vibrant personality on and off-screen, said her energy and enthusiasm at parties often surprise people who assume she must be under the influence.
She narrated a recent experience while filming in Enugu, where the production team organised a wrap-up party for cast and crew members. Rosman said she enjoyed the celebration wholeheartedly, even though she didn’t take a single sip of alcohol.
“I went to film in Enugu and the production team organised a cast and crew party,” she recalled. “I love celebrating with cast and crew members, especially when you’ve created a beautiful body of work. Those are the kind of parties I like to be at, not randomly at a Lagos club. And we were dancing and partying, if you see me in those videos, I was like, ‘Jesus, who is this girl?’”
She said one of her colleagues even asked what she drank that night, to which she replied, “Nothing.”
“I don’t drink anything. I don’t need anything to influence me,” Rosman said. “I have all the happiness and highness that I want inside myself. God has given it to me freely. I don’t need to take anything to influence me.”
The actress also opened up about her earlier struggles in the entertainment industry, admitting that there was a time when success from acting gigs left her feeling unfulfilled.
“There was a time I said I wanted to be sustaining myself from acting alone and gigs were coming, but I felt empty,” she said. “I felt like I was always searching for something to complete myself.”
Rosman said that experience taught her the importance of finding inner peace and joy, rather than depending on external things or material achievements.
Rosman’s message, many noted, highlights a growing trend among younger Nollywood actors who are choosing wellness, faith, and self-awareness over excess and peer pressure.
The actress, who has featured in several hit Nollywood productions, continues to build a reputation for her talent and authenticity.
She said she plans to keep living a balanced and grounded life, focusing on her craft, happiness, and the simple things that make her feel alive.
As she put it during the interview, “I don’t need a drink to feel joy. My joy is real, and it’s mine. I’m high on life already.”
