Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to supporting small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs), pledging to provide an enabling environment for businesses to flourish across the state.
He gave the assurance while receiving two Ondo-based entrepreneurs who recently won national honours at the 2025 National Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Awards held in Abuja and organised by the Presidency.
The awardees were Engr. Emmanuel Adewumi of Denki Wires and Cables, Akure, who received the Award of Excellence in Manufacturing, and Femi Olufunmiloye of Lafbart Innovations & Consulting Ltd, Akure, who was honoured with the FIRS Award of Excellence in Tax Compliance.
Aiyedatiwa congratulated the duo for representing Ondo State with distinction at the national level, applauding their business acumen, innovation, and integrity.
The visit to the governor ’s office was facilitated by the Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Youth Empowerment and Job Creation, Orioye Gbayisemore.
Highlighting his administration’s efforts to promote enterprise, Aiyedatiwa revealed that over ₦220 million was disbursed to support micro and small businesses in the state last year.
He pledged to further assist MSMEs not only through financial support but also by prioritising local patronage.

The governor also announced that Ondo State would host the 7th edition of the Expanded National MSME Clinic in Akure on 5 August 2025.
The event, to be held at the International Culture and Event Centre, The Dome, Alagbaka, is expected to be graced by the Vice President, Kashim Shettima.
