Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has announced that the state’s 2025 budget will be tailored to address the specific developmental needs across all regions.
According to his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, the governor shared this vision during the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign tour in Akoko North West Local Government Area on Tuesday.
Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasised that the budget will be carefully designed to ensure inclusivity, ensuring that no part of the state is overlooked.
He highlighted ongoing progress across various sectors and reiterated that development is a gradual process, requiring systematic efforts.
Key infrastructure projects and essential services, he assured, would soon extend to all areas.
The governor also expressed gratitude to the region’s monarchs for their steadfast support during the APC primaries and their recent endorsement ahead of the November 16 gubernatorial election.
On behalf of the 27 traditional rulers in the area, the Owa of Ogbagi, Oba Olasehinde Ojo Adetona, pledged unwavering support for the governor’s reelection bid.
Additionally, Ifeoluwa Ehindero, a House of Representatives member fothe r Akoko North East/Akoko North West federal constituency, called on the community to back Governor Aiyedatiwa in the upcoming election.
“Governor Aiyedatiwa has demonstrated outstanding leadership, and we must ensure he continues his work. I urge everyone to come out on election day and vote for him,” Ehindero said.
Governor Aiyedatiwa, while addressing party members in Oke Irun, emphasized the pivotal role their unwavering support will play in securing victory for the APC in the upcoming election.
He highlighted that the party’s success relies heavily on unity, commitment, and active engagement throughout the campaign and on election day.
At Afin-Akoko, the governor, speaking to an enthusiastic crowd, shared that his decision to tour key areas within the local government was intentional.
He explained that by visiting these communities personally, he gained a firsthand understanding of their challenges and pressing needs, which would enable him to respond with swift, targeted actions.
Reaffirming his commitment to inclusive development, the governor assured supporters that the concerns raised during his visits would shape future projects and planning, with the aim of uplifting the state and improving residents’ quality of life.
A carnival-like atmosphere awaited the governor in Oke Agbe, the local government headquarters, where jubilant supporters warmly welcomed him.
Addressing the excited crowd, Governor Aiyedatiwa reiterated his administration’s dedication to critical priorities, such as security, infrastructure, and agricultural growth.
In a notable political sMrs, Mrs. Susan Gbemisola Alabi, deputy governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), officially joined the APC and was welcomed by the governor into the party.
