President Bola Tinubu has called on Nigerians to uphold the values of compassion, self-discipline, and charity instilled during the holy month of Ramadan.
Speaking after observing Eid-el-Fitr prayers at the National Eid Ground in Abuja on Sunday, Tinubu emphasised the importance of sustaining the spirit of kindness and devotion beyond Ramadan.
He urged citizens to remain steadfast in their commitment to righteousness and national unity.
“We must not return to old ways but continue on the path of faith, discipline, and good deeds,” the President stated.

The Eid prayer gathering was attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, members of the Federal Executive Council, and lawmakers, among other dignitaries.
Eid-el-Fitr, which marks the conclusion of Ramadan, is a time of thanksgiving, generosity, and social cohesion for Muslims in Nigeria and across the globe.
The celebration traditionally begins with special congregational prayers in mosques and open fields, followed by feasting, gift exchanges, and visits to family and friends.
He urged Muslim faithful to use the occasion to strengthen bonds of unity and promote peace within their communities.
