Former Minister of Solid Minerals Kayode Fayemi has urged the federal government to prioritize investment in education.
He emphasised its role in equipping the next generation with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities needed to build a better future.
The former Ekiti State Governor stated that education has always been central to his vision for development, stressing his long-held belief that children represent both the hope and the pathway to achieving greater societal progress.

He made this remark while inaugurating a newly constructed quadrangle of classrooms at Command School, Isan-Ekiti, as part of activities marking his 60th birthday.
Reaffirming his commitment to education, Fayemi described the classrooms as a symbol of hope, accessibility, and the promise of a brighter future for the young minds who will learn within them.
“I am deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to making this project a reality, especially the successive Chiefs of Army Staff, from Lt. General Buratai to Attahiru to Yahaya to Late Lt. General Lagbaja to Lt. General Femi Oluyede, as well as the two CDSs – Generals Yomi Olonisakin and Leo Irabor, alongside their officers and the team on the ground, led by the Lt Colonel Anifowoshe, for their partnership in advancing quality education.

“Our children deserve the best, and we must continue to create an enabling environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive”, he said.
