Nigeria’s Falconets has solidify their spot in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup with a 2–1 victory over Senegal in Rufisque on Saturday.
The Annexe du Stade du Sénégal witnessed Falconets sealing their 3–1 aggregate triumph, having already secured a 1–0 first-leg advantage in Abeokuta.
Kindness Ifeanyi scored the first goal in the opening half, heading in from a corner kick. After the break, Precious Oscar added the second goal with another strong header. Senegal scored late in the game, but it was not enough to stop Nigeria from winning.
With this result, Nigeria remains the only African country to qualify for every edition of the tournament since it started in 2002.
