BUA Group Chairman, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has pledged a $500,000 cash bonus and other incentives to Nigeria’s Super Eagles ahead of their AFCON 2025 semi-final clash with host nation Morocco.
The New Daily Prime reported that goals from Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams secured the win for Eric Chelle’s side over Algeria.
The 2-0 win paved the way for a thrilling semi-final showdown against Morocco, who defeated Cameroon on Friday with 2-0.
Taking to his X account, Rabiu poured out heartfelt congratulations and national pride:
”Congratulations to our Super Eagles players on a brilliant victory against Algeria! You have lifted the spirit of the nation, and we proudly cheer you on as you prepare for the semi-finals.”

In an inspiring show of support, Rabiu announced generous rewards to keep the team motivated:
He also pledged an extra $50,000 for every goal scored in that match.
Should the Super Eagles triumph in the final, he will award an additional $1,000,000, plus $100,000 for each goal scored in the championship decider.
Rabiu closed with words of encouragement: “Wishing you continued success as you carry Nigeria forward. Keep making Nigeria proud. Proudly Nigerian ”
This newspaper reported that the win at the Grand Stade de Marrakech marked Nigeria’s second clean sheet of the tournament. Algeria had conceded only one goal prior to the quarter-final before facing the Super Eagles.
Alex Iwobi delivered another commanding display in midfield, while Calvin Bassey marshalled the defence with authority.
Although Wilfred Ndidi picked up a yellow card, raising concerns ahead of the semi-final, Nigeria’s backline remained resolute to see out the contest.
