Juventus men’s first-team coach Massimiliano Brambilla will take charge from the bench in the match against Udinese on Wednesday, following the dismissal of head coach Igor Tudor.
The New Daily Prime reported in March that Tudor was appointed coach of the team, taking over from Thiago Motta after just nine months in charge.
The club announced on Monday that Tudor had been relieved of his duties after Juventus’ 1–0 defeat to Lazio, a result that left them with just five points from their last five Serie A matches.
“Juventus FC announces that it has today relieved Igor Tudor of his duties as head coach of the men’s first team, along with his staff members Ivan Javorcic, Tomislav Rogic, and Riccardo Ragnacci. The club thanks Igor Tudor and his entire staff for their professionalism and dedication over the past few months and wishes them the best in their future careers,” the club stated.
At present, Juventus appear to be struggling to compete seriously this season.
Across all competitions, they have drawn five and lost three of their eight matches, leaving them eighth in Serie A, six points behind leaders Napoli. In the Champions League, they sit 25th out of 36 teams, having drawn one and lost two of their opening three group-stage games.
