As part of efforts to inspire moral renewal among Nigerian youths, one million copies of the Holy Bible are set to be distributed across the country in honour of Barrister Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who recently turned 40.
The initiative was unveiled on Sunday during a thanksgiving service held at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, and coordinated by Hon. Belusochukwu Enwere, National Chairman of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN).
According to Enwere, the Bible distribution is not intended as a personal celebration, but as a “spiritual investment” to promote ethical leadership, integrity, and compassion among young Nigerians.
“The one million Bible project is a gift to the body of Christ and a seed for moral transformation. Through this effort, we hope to restore integrity, compassion, and love for humanity among young Nigerians,” he said.
The thanksgiving event was held simultaneously in about 40 churches nationwide. In Abuja, the service featured prayers for the Tinubu family and Nigeria, led by Rev. Ini Ukpuho, Chaplain of the National Christian Centre, who described the gesture as timely and spiritually significant, especially in a time of rising concerns about declining values in society.
In a message delivered on his behalf, Seyi Tinubu thanked the organisers for the honour, stressing the importance of faith-based education and moral discipline in shaping a better, more united Nigeria.
“I believe that values rooted in faith, discipline, and responsibility are essential for building a nation that works for everyone,” the message read.
The Bibles will be distributed in phases, beginning in the coming weeks, through churches, schools, youth ministries, and community centres across the country.
