The All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared confidence in securing victory in the 2027 presidential election, insisting that President Bola Tinubu’s achievements would overshadow any strategies employed by the opposition.
Bala Ibrahim, APC’s Director of Publicity, made the statement in Abuja while reacting to recent political consultations by Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate.
Ibrahim dismissed Obi’s latest engagements with political leaders, saying: “There is nothing new Obi is doing that he didn’t do in 2023 when he was defeated.”

He noted that Obi had previously courted the same leaders during his last campaign, which ended unsuccessfully, and expressed certainty that history would repeat itself.
“At the end of the day, he was defeated then, and we are confident he will be defeated again,” Ibrahim added.
The APC spokesman emphasised that Tinubu’s reforms were already producing visible results, citing improvements in security, economic growth, and renewed public confidence as evidence.
“The government’s reforms are already yielding positive signs, and Nigerians can see the changes taking place,” he said.
Ibrahim stressed that the ruling party remained focused on delivering measurable progress, which he believed would resonate with voters by 2027.
The APC’s assurance comes amid ongoing political realignments, with opposition figures like Obi intensifying efforts to build alliances ahead of the polls.
However, Ibrahim maintained that the ruling party’s track record under Tinubu would outweigh any opposition manoeuvres.

“Nigerians are already seeing the results of Tinubu’s leadership and are satisfied,” he said, reaffirming the APC’s commitment to sustaining its reform agenda.
