The highly anticipated 10th season of Big Brother Naija officially kicked off on Saturday, July 26, as organisers unveiled a fresh set of housemates across dedicated TV channels and digital platforms.
The show, known as the most-watched reality television programme in Africa, returned with even more excitement, drama, and twists.
This year’s edition will run for 90 days, during which housemates will compete in tasks, build alliances, and entertain millions of viewers for a chance to win the largest prize in the show’s history, a whopping ₦150 million.
The grand prize includes a combination of cash and other rewards from show sponsors, making it the biggest prize since the show began.
During the official launch, Dr. Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels at MultiChoice, described this season as a major milestone in the show’s journey.
“This is not just a new season; it’s the celebration of a legacy,” she said. “Big Brother Naija has become a living, breathing part of our culture. We’ve redefined what it means to create homegrown content at scale.”
Tejumola also hinted at surprises in the coming weeks. According to her, Season 10 promises more twists, higher expectations, and stronger viewer interaction as the organisers aim to take the show to new heights.
The launch is scheduled to span two days from Saturday, July 26, to Sunday, July 27 with the show airing live on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 49 throughout its 10-week run.
