He was in the state as part of his visit for the RCCG’s annual retreat at the Heipang Camp in Barkin-Ladi Local Government Area.
Describing the killings as senseless and heart-wrenching, Pastor Adeboye reassured the governor that the Church has been fervently interceding for the state and believes that a new chapter of peace, restoration, and hope is imminent.
“We are here to encourage you and to let you know that even in these difficult times, we have not relented in our prayers for Plateau State,” he said.

“We have dedicated a special hour of prayer for the state, believing that a new story will emerge—one of peace, restoration, and hope. There are times when the flesh may fail, but God never fails.”
He emphasised that it was important to pay a visit to the governor and offer prayers for the healing and restoration of the state, especially in light of the trauma caused by recurring attacks.
Reacting, Mutfwang welcomed the RCCG leader and expressed profound gratitude for the Church’s continued spiritual support and intercessory role.
He noted that the RCCG Camp in Heipang once deserted due to insecurity, has resumed activities—signalling a return of hope and resilience.

“It is only when men of God lift their voices to heaven that God grants them wisdom and answers the cry of His people,” Mutfwang said.
“We thank you, sir, for your love for the land and your unwavering commitment to building the body of Christ.”
He credited the improvement in security to the proactive efforts of security agencies and their strong collaboration with his administration, adding that divine guidance remains essential in leading the state forward.
