A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Kola Ologbondiyan, has urged aggrieved members of the party who allege irregularities in the recently concluded primary elections to channel their complaints through the party’s appeal committee.
Ologbondiyan made the call on Wednesday during an interview on Arise Television, while reacting to concerns surrounding alleged manipulation of results within the party.
According to him, the ADC leadership has already put mechanisms in place to address disputes and ensure that internal grievances are resolved through established democratic procedures.

He maintained that allegations of manipulation should not be treated as mere public claims without evidence, stressing that members with concrete proof should formally present their complaints before the party’s appeal panel.
“Allegations cannot just come without proofs. The party has already constituted an appeal committee,” Ologbondiyan stated during the interview.
“Those who can prove the allegations of manipulation can go to the appeal committee,” he added.
The ADC chieftain further expressed confidence in the ability of the party leadership to effectively manage disagreements arising from the primaries, noting that every political organisation must rely on its internal structures to maintain unity and discipline.
He explained that the party possesses the necessary machinery to address conflicts and reconcile dissatisfied members ahead of the 2027 general election.
“We have leaders in the party who will manage all issues. The party has machinery through which it can resolve internal matters,” he said.
Ologbondiyan’s remarks come amid growing discussions following the emergence of Atiku Abubakar as the ADC’s presidential candidate for the 2027 election after defeating Rotimi Amaechi and Mohammed Hayatu-Deen in the party’s primary election.
