Raphinha double powers Barcelona to dominant win over Mallorca

Barcelona ended a three-game winless streak with a commanding 4-1 victory over Mallorca, thanks to a brilliant second-half performance led by Raphinha.

After a goalless first half, Raphinha opened the scoring in the 56th minute with a penalty, awarded after Lamine Yamal was fouled in the box. The teenager then turned provider, delivering a stunning cross to Raphinha, who slotted in his second goal of the match, taking his tally to 11 league goals this season.

Frenkie de Jong and Pau Victor completed the dominant win with goals in quick succession, sealing the three points for Barcelona.

The match was marred by a defensive blunder in the 12th minute, allowing Mallorca to take an early lead through Ferran Torres’ strike. However, Mallorca responded late in the first half with Vedat Muriqi’s goal, but Barcelona’s second-half firepower proved too much.

With Robert Lewandowski starting on the bench, Xavi’s tactical adjustments, including Torres’ inclusion, paid off, as the Catalan club moved four points clear of Real Madrid at the top of La Liga.

Barcelona now looks ahead to a crucial trip to Real Betis on Saturday, while Mallorca prepares for a visit to Celta Vigo.
