President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State on the commencement of a fresh term in office following his swearing-in on Monday in Akure, the state capital.
Governor Aiyedatiwa, who initially took over from the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, secured his mandate in the last governorship election.
In his congratulatory message, President Tinubu urged him to use this opportunity to serve the people diligently and build on the legacy of his predecessor.

“You have a rare privilege to succeed your illustrious predecessor, who worked for the growth and development of the state and advanced the progress of Nigeria as a whole,” Tinubu stated.
“Having been sworn in today for a fresh term in office, I urge you to work in the best interest of the people of the state and our country as a whole. I will be your partner in progress to usher in a new era of prosperity for the people of Ondo State.”
The president further emphasized the need for Governor Aiyedatiwa to expand economic opportunities, reduce poverty, improve security, and provide critical infrastructure to enhance the well-being of Ondo residents.
