The Kwara Sugar Factory Film Studio in Ilorin was once again a hub of excitement and cultural celebration as Nollywood stars, movie enthusiasts, and government representatives gathered for the premiere of “Apaji” and “The Seat.”

The films were produced by Muka Ray Eyiwumi, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq on Culture and Tourism.  

The event, described as a celebration of Kwara State’s rich cultural heritage and growing entertainment industry, drew wide acclaim.

Governor Abdulrazaq, who is also the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the premieres. 

Represented by Deputy Governor Kayode Alabi, the governor acknowledged the presence of Nollywood legends, including Dele Odule, Peju Ogunmola, Olaiya Igwe, and Pa Ajirebi, whose participation added glamour to the event.  

Ray also appreciated Ambassador Olufolake Abdulrazaq, represented by the Kwara State Commissioner for Communication, Bola Olukoju.

He further recognised key government officials, including Sa’adudeen Salaudeen, Senior Adviser and Counselor to the governor, and Abdulrazaq Jiddah, Special Adviser on Special Duties, alongside commissioners and other dignitaries who graced the occasion.  

Governor Abdulrazaq reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to promoting the arts and entertainment industry in Kwara State. 

He emphasised his intention to continue partnering with stakeholders to develop the sector, positioning Kwara as a creative hub in Nigeria.  

Similarly, veteran actors Dele Odule, Olaiya Igwe, Peju Ogunmola, and Pa Ajirebi commended Governor Abdulrazaq for his substantial investment in the creative industry. 

They expressed confidence that such support would yield significant progress and opportunities for local talents soon.
