Nigerian disc jockey and philanthropist Florence Otedola, known as DJ Cuppy, is ecstatic about her recent baptism ceremony and has declared 2024 her favorite year. She shared beautiful photos from her baptism reception on social media, thanking her family for creating wonderful memories with her.
Last week, DJ Cuppy took this step as part of her commitment to deepening her faith and starting a new chapter in her spiritual journey, as she announced in a tweet on the X platform.
The artist expressed satisfaction, focus, and happiness, stating that 2024 has been her best year yet.
In an Instagram post, she wrote: “YES, I had a baptism bash! We couldn’t let the most important day of my life pass without a PROPER celebration…. Grateful to my family and friends for joining me and for every blessing and memory made. Can’t believe that 2024 has been my best year yet, and it’s not even over! I honestly feel so fulfilled and focused, and most importantly… I feel HAPPY! #CuppyDat.”
Additionally, Cuppy’s father, Femi Otedola, expressed his pride in her commitment to her faith. The billionaire tycoon stated that he was proud of the graceful woman the disc jockey has become and wished her more blessings.
In a video posted on his Instagram page, the father of four stood with his daughter while a preacher prayed over her. Her mother, Nana, was also present at the ceremony.
After the preacher’s prayers, Cuppy made the sign of the cross with her left hand. Her father handed her a rubber white dove, which she released into the air.
“Congratulations on your baptism, my dear angel @cuppymusic. Papa is proud of the graceful woman you are becoming. More blessings,” Femi wrote on Instagram.
