President Bola Tinubu arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, early Monday to participate in the Africa Forward Summit, a high-level gathering expected to focus on economic transformation, regional trade, climate resilience, and digital innovation across the continent.
Tinubu’s aircraft landed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at about 12:18 a.m. local time, according to the Presidency.
The Nigerian leader was received by Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Musalia Mudavadi; Kenya’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, Isaac Parashina; alongside senior Kenyan officials and members of Nigeria’s diplomatic mission in the East African country.

The summit, jointly hosted by Kenyan President William Ruto and French President Emmanuel Macron, is expected to bring together African leaders, policymakers, investors, development partners, and business executives to deliberate on strategies for accelerating economic growth and regional cooperation.
According to the Presidency, Tinubu is expected to participate in bilateral and multilateral engagements aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s diplomatic and economic relations with other African countries.
The Presidency said the President’s attendance reflects Nigeria’s commitment to advancing African cooperation and promoting continent-driven solutions to development challenges.
discussions at the summit are expected to centre on infrastructure development, trade expansion, climate adaptation, digital technology, and sustainable economic policies.
Tinubu travelled with a delegation comprising senior cabinet officials and top government functionaries, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Ojukwu; Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari; Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola; and Minister of Environment, Balarabe Abbas Lawal.
Others on the delegation are the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole; Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani; and the Director-General of the National Council on Climate Change, Omotenioye Majekodunmi.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Council, the Minister of State-designate for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, and Nigeria’s Ambassador to France, Ayodele Oke, are also part of the delegation.
The Africa Forward Summit comes amid renewed diplomatic engagements among African states seeking deeper economic integration and coordinated responses to global economic and environmental pressures.
