Vice President Kashim Shettima has reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to improving the welfare of Nigerians.
In his Christmas message posted on X page by his spokesperson, Stanley Nkwocha, the Vice President emphasised that national security and economic transformation as top priorities under the President Bola Tinubu -led administration.
Shettima urged citizens to embrace unity and national cohesion during the festive season.
He described Nigeria’s diversity as its greatest strength, calling on Nigerians to “strengthen the bonds of brotherhood across all faith and region.”
Addressing the nation’s security, the Vice President reassured Nigerians of the vigilance of the security forces.
“Our brave security personnel will continue to work round the clock during this festive period to keep us safe,” he stated, adding that enhanced measures have been put in place to ensure the safety and comfort of travelers on major routes.
Shettima also expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, citing ongoing efforts by the Tinubu-led administration to create opportunities for the youth.
“You are the backbone of our nation,” he told young Nigerians, highlighting initiatives under the Renewed Hope agenda designed to empower them to contribute to national development.
