Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, has expelled Goddy-Mbakwe Chimamaka Precious for allegedly assaulting a lecturer from the Department of Theatre and Film Studies.
The New Daily Prime gathered that the incident, which gained widespread attention on social media, occurred when Precious reportedly attacked Dr Chukwudi Okoye after he interrupted her TikTok recording on campus.
The expulsion followed a recommendation from the Student Disciplinary Committee and was announced in a statement signed by the institution’s Acting Registrar, Victor Modebelu.

The university found Precious’ actions to be a serious violation of its disciplinary regulations.
Effective immediately, Precious has been ordered to vacate the campus and return any university property in her possession.
Modebelu emphasised that the decision underscores UNIZIK’s commitment to maintaining discipline and addressing rising concerns over student misconduct.
The statement read: “The Ag. Vice-Chancellor has received the report from the Student Disciplinary Committee on the case of your assault on a lecturer from the Department of Theater and Film Studies which was found to be a gross misconduct and violation of the Students Disciplinary Regulations, particularly Regulation 4 (SOR) Consequently, the Ag Vice-Chancellor has, on behalf of the University Senate, approved the Committee’s recommendation that you be expelled and you are hereby expelled from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka

“The expulsion takes immediate effect. You are expected to vacate the University premises immediately and return any University property In your possession.”
