President Bola Tinubu arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday to attend the Joint Arab-Islamic Summit.
Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, announced the arrival on his official X page, sharing that the President was welcomed at King Abdulaziz International Airport by Prince Mohammed Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region.

Scheduled to commence on Monday, the summit is hosted at the invitation of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, continuing the tradition from last year’s gathering in Riyadh.
During the summit, President Tinubu is expected to address the Israel-Palestinian conflict, emphasising Nigeria’s call for an immediate ceasefire and advocating for a peaceful resolution.
Nigeria will also push for renewed efforts toward a two-state solution as a sustainable path to lasting peace.
Joining President Tinubu are key officials, including Foreign Affairs Minister Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, Information and National Orientation Minister Alhaji Mohammed Idris, and the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed. Following the summit, President Tinubu is scheduled to return to Abuja.
