The Zonal Coordinator for Zone ‘A’ of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Assistant Comptroller General (ACG) Charles Orbih, paid his first official visit to the Kirikiri Lighter Terminal (KLT) Area Command.
During the visit yesterday, ACG Orbih highlighted the importance of synergy between the command and relevant stakeholders, stressing that collaboration and professionalism among officers were crucial to achieving the Service’s mandates.
“The success of our mandates—revenue generation, trade facilitation, and national security—depends heavily on seamless collaboration.
“The synergy between commands in the zone and our partnership with sister agencies must be strengthened to optimize our performance,” he stated.

He also assured officers that the challenges facing the Command would be escalated to the Customs Headquarters for necessary action.
Welcoming the ACG, the Customs Area Controller (CAC), Comptroller Joy Edelduok, presented a report on the Command’s achievements in revenue generation and trade facilitation since she assumed leadership.
“Despite the low trade volume at the Command, we were able to generate ₦35.2 billion in the first quarter of 2025. This represents an over 51% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
“This shows that we are working hard to meet the revenue target set for 2025, by the grace of God,” she stated.
Comptroller Edelduok reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to fostering strong collaborations with stakeholders and sister agencies while ensuring smooth operations in a secure and conducive working environment.
