Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on Wednesdaypresented an estimated N390 billion budget for 2025 to the State House of Assembly.  

The budget tagged the ‘Budget of Sustainable Growth and Transformation’, received prior approval from the State Executive Council (SEC).  

Governor Adeleke revealed that approximately N144 billion is allocated for capital expenditure, while N246 billion is designated for recurrent expenditure.

“Following the approval of the Osun State Executive Council earlier today, it was my pleasure to present the year 2025 Budget Appropriation Bill to the House of Assembly at the Osun State House of Assembly Complex. 

“The 2025 Budget Appropriation Bill tagged “Budget of Sustainable Growth and Transformation” is valued at N390,028,277,740.00, with Capital Expenditure estimated at N144,231,183,800.00 and Recurrent Expenditure of N245,797,093,940.00.”

Governor Adeleke highlighted the remarkable progress his administration has achieved across various sectors, noting that a detailed presentation of these accomplishments will be unveiled during the government’s midterm anniversary. 

He also reaffirmed that his administration has not taken any loans, either external or domestic, emphasising that prudent management of available resources has been instrumental in addressing the needs and aspirations of the people of Osun State.

“I appreciate the Speaker of the Osun House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun and the entire members of the State Assembly for their continuous support in our bid to move Osun State to enviable heights.”
