President Bola Tinubu has extended Easter greetings to Christians in Nigeria and worldwide.

He urged them to reflect on the values of sacrifice, redemption, love, and hope that the season represents.

Tinubu, in a statement he personally signed on Friday, highlighted the significance of Easter as a time to reflect on the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

He described Easter as the cornerstone of the Christian faith and drew inspiration from these enduring values.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering the promise of a Renewed Hope for Nigeria—one that is more just, prosperous, and inclusive.

Tinubu also acknowledged the challenges that the nation faces, particularly recent tragic incidents and the loss of lives in various parts of the country.

“I understand the pain and fear these incidents have caused”, President Tinubu said.

“Let me assure you that my administration’s resolve to restore peace and security remains unshakable. Forces of evil will never prevail over our country.”

Tinubu emphasised the clear directives given to the Armed Forces and all relevant security agencies to decisively address the security challenges the nation is grappling with.

He expressed confidence that the ongoing efforts of the country’s gallant men and women in uniform are making steady progress in reclaiming peace and stability.

Turning to the economy, the President acknowledged the difficulties many Nigerians continue to face but reassured the public that his administration is working diligently to stabilise key sectors, restore investor confidence, and build an economy that serves the interests of all citizens.

President Tinubu also joined the global Christian community in giving thanks for the recovery of Pope Francis, offering prayers for his continued strength and leadership.

President Tinubu stated, “Just as Christ triumphed over death, so too shall our country triumph over every challenge we face. The present moment may be cloudy, but it will usher in a glorious day.”
